Bible Songs for Summer Days

Daniel in the Lions Den

Songs are the fastest way to not only help kids remember long lists but they often don’t even realize that they are learning anything because they are having so much fun!

I have many fond memories as a child learning new songs to memorize the books of the bible or the 50 states. Through a little research I have discovered a website called that is chalked full of songs about bible stories and the books of the bible all to familiar tunes that kids love.

Give the kids some bells and maybe a tambourine or two and they will have hours of fun dancing around the living room and also learning about scripture.

Daniel ad the Lions

To the tune “Joshua fit the Battle of Jericho”.

Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den, lions’ den, lions’ den
Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den,
Cause he prayed to God alone.

God sent his angel to the lions’ den lions’ den, lions’ den
God sent his angel to the lions’ den
And he shut the lions’ mouths.

How about you what is your favorite Bible- based song for kids?

If you like what you read, check out our children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website.  It is great for parents and kids because it provides the Big Story of God’s miraculous plan for His children in all 66 books in the Bible including colorful illustrations, rhymes and a surprise on every page.
