1 and 2nd Peter Made Simple

Looking for a fun way to teach your kids about the Bible books called 1 and 2 Peter? Why not check out a new Bible storybook called Hooked On The Book.

It is the story of a young boy name Patrick and his adventures through the Bible. In 1 and 2 Peter Patrick sees how many people that believe in Jesus have to suffer for their faith. Here is a fun poem that helped Patrick understand this concept.

Though a rock hits your sock and severs a nerve,                                                                 though you’re jabbed or stabbed by those whom you serve.

Though they break both your arms and twist up your legs,                                                 though they tie-dye your hair with some rotten , raw eggs.

As you bandage each other from head down to toe,                                                                sing your praises to Jesus, “La, La La,” dosey doe.

Make music to heaven. Thank God for your pain.                                                                  You’re looking’ like Jesus, no need to complain.

1 Peter 4:12,13
