On a long summers day a great way to pass the time and get a spiritual conversation going with the kids is to make Bible related crafts. There are many different craft ideas that can be found all over the Internet but some are more practical then others simply because they require items that can be found around the house.
One that I was intrigued by was the “Cone Angel” on dltk-bible.com, because it is not only a fun craft but can also be used as a Christmas tree topper later in the year.
For this craft all you really need are markers, construction paper, possibly a doiley (this however is optional because you can make something like a paper snowflake into a doiley effect). Check out the dltk-bible.com website for the details on how to make these doiley angels.
Here are 3 Bible verses on angels that will get the discussion going with your kids as you make this Bible craft project.
Matthew 18:10 “Be careful. Don’t think these little children are worth nothing. I tell you that they have angels in heaven who are always with my Father in heaven.” (NCV)
Hebrews 1:14 “Are not the angels all ministering spirits, servants sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation?” (AMP)
Psalm 91:11 “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” (NASB)
Thanks Dltk for this wonderful craft idea that teaches kids about angels.
