Community Bible School-The Dream Of One Girl

At the age of 7, Kylie Shober first dreamed of organizing a community Bible school for her hometown Berlin.  It was not until her senior year in high school that she finally had the opportunity to follow through on this long time dream.   On July 30th through August 3rd at Berlin Community Church the first community vacation bible school in Berlin was held.  150 children between the ages of 3-15 attended the event.

Kylie’s story is a great one to share with kids because it was a dream that she had for years.  Even though she was only a child when she first got the idea she knew it was important to her.  She just waited until she had an opportunity to make it possible.  What an inspiration!  When sharing this story with your kids talk about how this dream was a long process.  She waited for a long time and then when it was time she had to do a lot of work to set it all up.  But emphasize that it did come true! And that even though they are still kids they can have big dreams and believe that they will have an opportunity to make them happen if they are willing to put the work in.
