Door Of Faith Orphanage Reaches Out To Serve

WOW, we just had the best weekend in Mexico visiting an orphanage called the Door of Faith. God is doing amazing work there through many volunteers and the administrators DJ and Lynette Schuletze.

As they say in their newsletter… “Caring for the children here at Door of Faith means more than just providing the basic needs. We want the children in our big family to grow up as responsible, caring adults. Our children ( like children everywhere ) learn through both word and action.” With projects like painting, building and cleaning these children reach out to needy families and build them homes.

Their teens also reach out to serve alongside local churches. Just recently they spent 10 days on the road to build a new roof on a church.

They also reach out with lunch get togethers every other Sunday. Between 50 to 60 older folks come by and are served lunch. These get togethers are a great way for the kids to spend time with a generation that most kids never interact with.

If you are interested in coming for a visit with your team check out their website or facebook page. http://www.dofo.org/

And whats more… the buildings in this community have such a fun flair you will be amazed. Thank you Door of Faith for sharing with us your vision.

If you like what you read, check out our children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website.  It is great for parents and kids because it provides the Big Story of God’s miraculous plan for His children in all 66 books in the Bible including colorful illustrations, rhymes and a surprise on every page.
