Easy Bible Lessons For Kids in 10 minutes – “Trust God to Be God”, Romans 8:28

Hook: In this easy Bible Lesson we are focusing on if we can Trust God to Be God.  When we run into difficulies in life, do we become hopeless and depressed or do we act by faith in God even though we can’t see how He is working?

Book: “And we know that God causes everything to work together[m] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28) Notice the word that was underlined, “everything”. God says that He causes everything to work together for our good even when it doesn’t feel like it.

Look: (Read Philippians 1:12-14) Paul was in prison writing to the Philippian church.  In this passage he tells them not to be upset by his imprisonment. Why? Because as a result he has been able to preach the gospel to the palace guard who have been chained to Paul.  He is rejoicing in this opportunity.  God was working this circumstance out for Paul’s good and for the prison guards as well.

Took: Ask your children if there is some situation that they are having trouble trusting God for?  Ask them how God might be working things out for their good?  What are they learning?  Who else is being impacted?  How is  their faith growing?  Have them open up their palms and tell God that they are giving this situation over to Him and are going to rejoice and act by faith believing that God is working this out for their good.
