Today let’s focus on teaching kids a Bible miracle from the book of Acts. Paul casts a demon from a woman. (Acts 16:16-21)
Paul and Barnabus were preaching the good news in Philippi and a demon possessed woman kept interrupting them saying that they had a message about how to be saved.
Ask the children?
Who did Paul speak to in performing this miracle and what happened?
“This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, ‘I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.’ And instantly it left her.” (Acts 16:18 )
Why were her master’s upset and what did they do?
“Her masters’ hopes of wealth were now shattered, so they grabbed Paul and Silas and dragged them before the authorities at the marketplace.” (Acts 16:19)
It shouldn’t surpise us that the miracles of God are opposed by satan and the world. These miracles, even if they help people, are ultimately displaying the glory of God and God’s kindgom purposes are opposed to satan and the worldly systems.
Ask your children if they are being opposed for their faith? Are they being called goody goody’s or are they being enticed to do things they know that are wrong? Spend some time praying the protection of Christ over them and for strengh to stand against evil in our world for the glory of God.
