Bible Miracles For Kids – Stephen’s Face Miraculously Shines

Acts Images

Today let’s focus on teaching kids a Bible miracle from the book of Acts.  Stephen’s face miraculously shine. (Acts 6:1-15)

Stephen was a man just like we are, but he was given great faith and wisdom and God did something miraculous to him.

Ask the children?

The apostles determined that they should spend their time teaching and preaching the word rather than managing the distribution of food.  They determined they were going to select 7 men to lead this task.  Why was Stephen selected?

“Everyone liked this idea, and they chose the following: Stephen (a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit).” (Acts 6:5)

Why were some of the religious leaders jealous of Stephen so that they began to spread lies about him?

“None of them could stand against the wisdom and the Spirit with which Stephen spoke.” (Acts 6:10)

Stephen was arrested and brought before the high council.  What Bible Miracle happened to Stephen that amazed everyone?

“At this point everyone in the high council stared at Stephen, because his face became as bright as an angel’s.”  (Acts 6:15)

The Holy Spirit of God had made Stephen a man full of faith on the inside but now that faith shown on the outside.  Just like Moses’ face glowed after he had been in the presence of God on Mt. Sinai, now Stephen’s face glowed because He was in the presence of God as a Christ follower.

This miracle for a Christian only happened once in the Bible but this Bible Miracle reminds us that God always wants to make His presence known and will shine through each of us miraculously in unique ways.

Ask your children if they believe God can shine through them?  Ask them how He has done this in the past?  Share your own story of how God has done this through you.  Pray with your children and ask for God to miraculously shine through you today.
