Background: Doctor Luke wrote not only the gospel of Luke but also this additional historical account of the birth and the spread of the church by the power of the Holy Spirit of Christ. He called this book, Acts. Some call it the Acts of the Apostles or the Acts of the Holy Spirit.
Paul never lost the opportunity to repeat his testimony how he had been converted from a hater of the Way to being a passionate follower of Jesus. In fact he repeats a very similar testimony several times. But why?
Ask the children…
What did Jesus tell Paul to do when He appeared to Paul in a vision?
“Now get to your feet! For I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant and witness. You are to tell the world what you have seen and what I will show you in the future!” (Acts 26:16)
What did Paul say that he did as a result?
“And so, King Agrippa, I obeyed that vision from heaven.” (Acts 26:19)
Paul went on to tell his testimony over and over to anyone who would listen. It was the testimony that caused countless people to turn to Christ.
Ask your children if they can share their testimony? Have them do so. Ask God to provide opportunities to share that testimony.
