Free Bible Art On The Web

Biblical Art

Looking for a free picture that illustrates a certain verse in the Bible. Visit Bible Art On The WWW and you will be able to find just that. This website is the fastest way to search for biblical art on the web.

The home page is set up so you can search by Biblical subject, Biblical text, Artist’s name or by plugging in only a word.  Just click on the search button that works for you and then plug in your interests and the artwork appears. He gives you the link to where he got the image so you can get a larger size.

There are numerous images, artists and topics. I recently needed an image for one of our blogs on the defeat of the Amalekites in Exodus and I was amazed at how many images there were to select from.

This website is wonderful for teachers and students of the Bible.

Created and maintained by a Norwegian theologian and schoolteacher named Rolf E. Staerk, this site began as a powerpoint presentation for his personal use. He then wanted to share it with others so he moved to the internet and his data-expert wife made it a database.

Thanks you Rolf for sharing this collection of Bible Art with the world.

If you like what you read, check out our children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website.  It is great for parents because it provides the Big Story of God’s miraculous plan for His children in all 66 books in the Bible including colorful illustrations, rhymes and a surprise on every page.
