Many kids begin school within the next couple of weeks. As this next season starts how are you and your children going to give it to Jesus? A great way is to sit down with your kids and ask them what are their goals for this semester. It can be school related, friend related, sports related, or really anything that your child wants to pray about. Then have each kid write down their goals on a piece of paper and decorate it. Have your child hang their paper some where in their room or some place visible. Finally have everyone sit down together and pray about those goals.
This activity is great because it reminds us all that before we begin a season of life the most important thing we can do is pray about it and give it to the Lord. Also when we write down our prayers, at the end of the semester or school year we can look back at what we wanted to see happen and then praise God for how it worked out.
This would also be a great activity for sunday school classes coming up within the next couple of weeks!
