God Loves Your Kids – He Chose Them When He Planned Creation

Jesus Loves Children

Every child needs to know that they have a Father in heaven who loves them and that they are not an accident but were chosen by God when He planned creation.

In the book of Ephesians, Paul wrote …

“Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God,  for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.”  (Ephesians 1:11)

When God was planning all of His creation, the moon and stars, all the planets, this earth, every morning and every sunset, He specifically thought about each one of us and put a plan together for our lives.

None of us are accidents.  He chose us to be in His family.  Unlike parents who receive children as gifts, God is the planner behind those little bundles of joy.  He is the giver of that wonderful gift of life.  Every child has been chosen to be on this planet by Him.  Every child is uniquely shaped by Him.

Take your son or daughter and go in stand in front of the mirror with them.  Point out each unique feature they have; nose, mouth, hair color, their size and shape, in each instance remind them that God picked these out just for them even before creation.  He gave these characteristics to them with all the love in the world.  God’s love never changes any more than they can change their shape and size or eye color.

Ask them what it feels like to be God’s especially loved creation?  Ask them how they can remember that when life isn’t going so well and they are feeling down?  Remind them that they can always go and look in the mirror and see God’s special creation staring back at them.
