God Loves Your Kids – He Gives Them The Choice To Be His Children

Choices

Every child needs to know that God loves them. He loves them so much that He offers them the choice to be His children.

The apostle John wrote,

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.” (John 1:12, 13)

When we have children we do not get to choose who they are.  God has sovereignly predetermined that and does all the work knitting them in their mother’s womb.  However, to become children of God, God has given all of us the right to choose or not.

He loves each one of us so much that He sent His Son to this earth in order to open the door to all of us becoming His children.  But it is our choice to believe in Him and accept His free gift or not.  And the result?  A brand new birth.  Not a physical one though.  A new spiritual life.   Our spirit brought to life by His Spirit.  A new spiritual birth into God’s family in heaven.

Ask your children if they understand the choice that God has given to them?  Sit down and explain it to them.  Ask them if they want to make this choice today?  It is the biggest and most impoortant decision they will ever make.  Pray with them and then rejoice with the heavens over their new birth.

If they have already made this decision, ask them if they know of anyone who has not.  Pray with your kids how they can share this decision with whomever God has brougt to their mind and heart.
