God Loves Your Kids – He Is Always For Them, Romans 8:31

Bible miracles

Every child needs to know that God loves them and that God is for them when the world is against them.

The apostle Paul wrote …

“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” (Romans 8:31)

Some of God’s clearest promises to us as Christians is that there will be opposition to us and that we will undergo persecution if we are true to our calling.  At times this feels like it is just too much.  We don’t know if we can stand another day of this.

The apostle Paul knew all about this.  He had been whipped, shipwrecked, stoned, threatened with death, imprisoned and thrown out of town.  But through all this he could still confidently say that the God who was for him was much greater than those who were against him.

Ask your children if they are feeling any persecution for being different as Christians?  Maybe other kids make fun of them for not swearing or participating in cruel jokes or for caring for others or for telling others about the love of God.  Read this verse together and remind them that they are not alone.  God loves them so much and is there to take care of them whether it feels like it or not.

Pray together about the circumstances they are in and ask God to give them faith to withstand the pressure and for God to show up and reveal His presence and power.
