God Loves Your Kids – He Rejoices Over Them With Singing

Children Singing Praises

Every child needs to know that they have a Father in heaven who loves them and that He delights in them and rejoices over them with singing.

The Prophet wrote…

“For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.[a]
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
(Zephaniah 3:17)

So often we think that God just puts up with us and all the mistakes that we make in life.  On the contrary, our Father is thrilled with us.  He delights in our lives and looks down upon us with a Fatherly affection.

Think about the parents of a new born child and how they thrill at every gurgle their baby makes and the moving on their tiny hands and feet.  Think of a mom or dad sitting in a rocking chair and singing lullabys to their baby as they rock them to sleep.  Our Father in heaven feels the same way about us.  He is delighting in our lives and constantly singing songs of love to us.

Ask your children if they can rememer any lullabys that you as parents sang to them?  Go ahead and sing some of those lullabys and tell your children how you felt about them when you sang them.  Now remind them that their heavenly Father feels the same way about them today and every day.

Spend some time singing praises to God then thanking Him that He is singing songs of love back.
