God Loves Your Kids – Nothing Can Separate Them From His Love

God’s love

Every child needs to know that God loves them.  There is nothing in all of creation that can separate them from the Father’s love.

The apostle Paul wrote,

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  (Romans 8:38, 39)

The other day I was sharing with my wife about some of the things I was struggling with in my life.  Things like people pleasing and perfectionism.  She reminded me that these things were all just symptoms of a lack in my life.  What was that lack?  It was my inability to really feel loved by God unconditionally.

I don’t think I am the only one who feels like he has to perform for God to keep His love.  Or that believes that somehow God is fickle and that His love has some conditions on it.

Read this verse with your children and ask them if there is anything that they can think of that would separate them from God’s love?  Anything they could do or think?  Pray and thank God that they are totally free to go out and live life without having to worry if God loves them.  He does and always will.
