God Loves Your Kids – Through Jesus He Showed Them What He Is Really Like

Every child needs to know that God loves them and that they can know exactly what the Father is like through Jesus.

This is what the scriptures say about Jesus…

“The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command.” (Hebrews 1:3)

God knew it would be hard for us to understand what He is really like.  So He sent His Son Jesus to come to this earth and to demonstrate to us what God is like in flesh and blood.

Jesus embodied the very character of God and lived out that character every day in how He interacted with His Father, creation and with people.

God wants us to experience Jesus every day so we can know how much He loves us.  It is not enough to know facts about Jesus.  Ask your children if they are experiencing Jesus in their hearts?  Do they get comfort from Him, do they feel His love, is He their friend?  Tell them stories of how Jesus is real in your own life.

This morning as I was sitting and having my time with Jesus and He encouraged me to take a leadership role at work.  He told me not to be afraid because He would provide the wisdom and the strength.  How did that come about? Because I sat here and worshipped Him and asked for His guidance.  Jesus is always ready to come and meet Him if we ask.

Spend some time with your kids just sitting with Jesus and talking to Him.  Share what He has to say to you and how you feel His presence.

Feel free to leave any comments here to encourage others.
