Great Ministries to Kids that Are Changing Lives

Our daughter Jenna is in Quito, Ecuador for 4 months learning Spanish and serving in different ministries. She was telling me today about what God is doing in the lives of many boys that used to live on the streets. The ministry is through an organization called  Youth World.

Some people were burdened by the homeless boys they saw in Ecuador and began meeting their physical and spiritual needs. They partnered with a young man named Gabriel who already had been trying to meet this need and now today they have a house for these boys and are training them to be leaders for Jesus.

Check out their website for the encouraging stories of each of these boys.

We love families to use websites like Youth World to start praying for these boys and maybe even develop a relationship through letters of encouragement.  There are many ministries out there with wonderful stories of how God is transforming the lives of kids that don’t have many opportunities. Our hope is that your family will pick one so y,our kids can be a part of the big picture of what God is doing in the lives of His Kids.

We believe that it is our privilege to help our kids see the needs of others, not out of guilt, but out of  encouragement that we can be part of the process of blessing lives all over the world. Blessing others is fun.

If you like what you read, check out our children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website.  It is great for parents because it provides the Big Story of God’s wonderful plan for His children in all 66 books in the Bible including colorful illustrations, rhymes and a surprise on every page.
