Hands On Teaching Of The Big Picture

This idea is FANTASTIC for teaching your kids the big ideas in the Bible.  It is a kids hands on mural project art project. Check out Ministry-to-Children.com and see the great pictures they have of how to lay out this project.

They divide the Bible in terms of categories, creation, fall, promise, exodus, exile, judges, kings, etc. They use this as a group project to have the kids draw the images that would go under each category. For under Exodus the children would draw, the plagues, the parting of the Red Sea, the 10 Commandments, and the desert wanderings.

The childrens drawings are then pasted under the category title  on poster board for the presentation.

Some of the sections are longer than others. We think this project will probably be a lesson that you would use over the period of a month.

Why not use our book, ‘Hooked On The Book’  as you work on this project as it fits perfectly with this concept.

Be sure to check out the Ministry-to-Children website as they have a detailed layout of how to do this project.

We love this hands on way of learning the big picture. This will be something you can hang in your classroom and keep referring to as you teach them through the year.

Thanks you Ministry-to-Children for this wonderful resource.

If you like what you read, check out our children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website.  It is great for parents because it provides the Big Story of God’s wonderful plan for His children in all 66 books in the Bible including colorful illustrations, rhymes and a surprise on every page.
