Help Out With Hurricane Isaac

After hurricane Isaac there has been much damage, estimating $2 billion in insured damages.  If you want to be a part of helping out with the clean up process then you might want to go help the victims of this disaster.  The question is how? Adventures in Missions is currently organizing teams to send to New Orleans for short term mission trips.  The trips average 4-7 days and cost between $350- $450.  You do not need to be skilled in any particular way, just ready to serve.  You could be involved with helping repair houses, cleaning away debris, serving food, or playing with kids.  This could be a great trip to take your teen on to teach them to serve others and love those who are struggling.

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”   Galatians 5:13-14
