How Do We Help Our Kids Develop An Interest In Church Planting?

How do we help our  kids develop an interest in church planting?  Here are some thoughts on how to do that.

  1. Break the traditional idea that church only happens when we go to a  building with a cross hanging over the door. Church happens anywhere believers hang out together and praise and worship God. Tell them how most churches world wide meet in people’s homes.
  2. Share with them stories of people that God is using who are planting churches all over the world.
  3. Help them to realize that you don’t have to have formal preaching to be a church. There are many different ways to organize a service. Some have bible study with worship. Some are more traditional with all the kids going to Sunday school in another room, while in other churches children may be part of the weekly service.
  4. The more your kids see the variety of the ways God is working around the world in this thing called “church”, the more they can see how big and creative our God is. God’s concern is that people come to know Him in whatever church system they participate.
