Jesus’ 10 New Testament Principles for Parenting: Principle No. 6 – Let Natural Consequences Do The Teaching (Part 4)

Jesus modeled this 6th parenting principle of ‘Letting Natural Consequences Do The Teaching’.

Have you ever thought of thanking God for the difficulties that our children encounter?  Wise parents actually pray to God that He would bring learning experiences into the lives of their children that they can grow from.

Jesus didn’t ask His Father to take His children out of the world but He asked His Father to protect them as they walked through these trials.

I’m not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.”  (John 17:15)

Jesus knew would face many trials in the world, some of their own creation and others that would just came their way, and so He prayed that this world would be an experiential greenhouse in which His children would ultimately grow and flourish.

As parents, we can ask God to maximize the learning experiences and to give us and our children the wisdom to profit and grow.
