Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important because it helps them to see how nothing is impossible for God. If God can do miracles in the Bible, He can do them in our children’s lives today. Here is an easy way to do that interactively.
Today let’s focus on a Bible miracle from the book of Luke: Jesus heals two blind men (Matthew 9:27-31)
Two blind men approached Jesus asking for Him to have mercy on them. They didn’t actually ask Jesus to heal them, but Jesus knew what they wanted.
Ask the children…
What did Jesus ask these two blind men?
“They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, ‘Do you believe I can make you see?’” (Matthew 9:28 )
Apparently, their faith in Jesus’ ability to make them see was important. Jesus doesn’t do anything against our wills. He waits for us to ask in faith. How did the blind men respond?
“’Yes, Lord,’ they told him, ‘we do.’” (Matthew 9:28 )
What did Jesus say allowed their healing to happen?
“Then he touched their eyes and said, ‘Because of your faith, it will happen.’” (Matthew 9:29)
Faith and healing have always gone together. However, we must remember that not only is healing given to us by God, but so is faith. Also keep in mind that no faith has ever been perfect. God is not waiting for perfect faith, only the kind that motivates us to come to Jesus and humbly ask for His touch of healing.
