Kids Activity: Jacob’s Ladder

Jacob’s Ladder Dream

“And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.”

Genesis 28: 10-20 tells the story of Jacob’s dream of angels walking up and down a ladder from earth to heaven.  This is the perfect story to make a craft for a sunday school class.

Adventures In Mommydom  has provided a great craft to help kids visualize the dream that Jacob has.  All you need are a few materials.

Popsicle sticks

Blue paper

Angel cut-outs (google image search for angels)

Put the glue on the popsicle sticks and glue them down onto the blue paper.  After the glue has dried glue the angels onto the ladder.

This craft is helpful because it allows kids to visualize the story.  Making the Bible understandable helps it come alive.
