Kids Activity: Serving Others For Christmas

Loving our Neighbors!

As we come up to this Christmas season it is a great time to think about serving others!

One neat idea that you can do with your kids is to think if their are any older people in your lives who may need some help setting up their Christmas decorations.   Have your kids go around the neighborhood to some of your older neighbors and ask if they would like some help decorating for the holidays.  They can also offer to help them take it down when the Christmas season is over.

Another idea is to bake cookies with your kids for the neighborhood.  This is great bonding time for you and your kids but it also provides an opportunity to get out and meet your neighbors, showing them both love and kindness!

Christmas is a celebration of Jesus’ birth! His whole life was centered around serving and loving others, so what a perfect time to do as He did.

“Love your neighbor as yourself” Matt. 22: 39

  1. Grandma has lot of ideas for Christmas, including a “Make a Gift” day for your family, your neighborhood, your church, or your community.
