Kids Activity:Setting A Place For Jesus This Christmas

Jesus Birthday Place Setting

To help your young kids understand the meaning of Christmas a great idea is to set a place for Jesus at the Christmas table.  Let your kids decorate this special spot for Jesus.  They can decorate the chair with streamers and place a golden crown on His plate.  Let them get creative.  Explain to them Jesus is the king and this is His birthday so decorate this seat like a king would have at a big feast!

Explain to your kids that Jesus is not like an imaginary friend, but this is just a special way of remembering Him.

What is fun and special about this activity is that it provides a creative and interactive way for your kids to understand how Jesus is the center of the holiday. How important it is to remember that this holiday is Jesus’ day!
