Kids Craft: Christ’s Light Shining Through The Darkness

2 Corinthians 4:6-7

A great craft activity to do with your kids as a family activity or as a Sunday school craft is making a pot to represent 2 Corinthians 4:6-7.

“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.  But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

All you need is a couple little things:

1.Glass pot

2. Plastic Bag

3. Paint

4.Glue

Start off with having your kids paint the jar however they want.  Somewhere on it have them paint on the verse.  Then put each glass pot in a separate plastic bag and have them drop in it on the ground.  The pot should break into large pieces.  Afterwards have each child glue the pieces back together.

Once the glue has dried, put a candle in the middle of the pot and let the light shine through the cracks!
