Kids Craft: God FormedThe Worlds Out of Nothing Just Like Play Dough

Play Dough Earth

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.   Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”  Genesis 1:1-2

A great way of helping kids understand this concept is to give each of them a chunk of play dough.  Tell them to try to create something out of it.  It can be an animal, a person, or if they are feeling really ambitious have them make their own world.

In this same way God created the world, except he had nothing to begin with and everything he created was from his imagination, all of his ideas were original!

This could be a great activity for Sunday school or for just a family teaching moment! Perfect for any homeschooling family!
