Kids Craft: Roll Away The Tomb Stone

Roll Away The Stone

“They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,  but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.”

Luke 22:2-3  has provided a craft to help kids remember the story of how the women went to Jesus’ tomb and found it to be empty.  What a powerful story for kids to remember because it shows how Jesus is King.

What is great about this craft is that it has the fun quality of the kids being able to move the stone from closed to open.  Kids love things that are interactive, so what better way to make the story interactive than to have the stone roll away for real!  In addition to having the kids move the stone, have them color in the picture.
If you like what you read about ways to teach children the Bible, check out the children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website. It is great for parents and kids because it provides the Big Story of God’s miraculous plan for His children in all 66 books in the Bible. CHECK OUT A FREE SAMPLE OF CHAPTER ONE BELOW.

Wow! Desperately looking for an activity for 5-7 year olds for TOMORROW (!) and I find your site with so many ideas. Found exactly the right activity. No time to look further but I am looking forward to returning to your site later when it’s my turn to do MiniKidz again! Thanks very much.
