Kids Craft: Thanksgiving Turkey Wall

Thanksgiving Turkey Wall

A great family activity for leading up to the thanksgiving holiday is to make a Thanksgiving turkey wall.  This activity allows people to make a great wall decoration all surrounding being thankful.  Here is what you will need to do.

Pick a wall in you house and start with putting up a turkey like the one in the picture.  Do this a couple weeks before thanksgiving.  Tell your family to start thinking of things they are thankful for to God.  As they do have them write them on paper feathers and add them to the turkey’s tail.  So by thanksgiving your turkey should have a great big tail of feathers full of thank you notes to God.

Then on the Thanksgiving day when you have all your family and friends over you can enjoy reading through the different thank you notes.

If you like what you read, check out our children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website.  It is great for parents and kids because it provides the Big Story of God’s miraculous plan for His children in all 66 books in the Bible including colorful illustrations, rhymes and a surprise on every page.
