Kids Craft: Zacchaeus In A Tree

Zacchaeus In A Tree

More Ketchup Please has provided this wonderful craft to help children understand the story of Zacchaeus and his encounter with Jesus.  It is especially fun because it allows children to use their own hands as part of the design.  It also uses finger painting which every child enjoys!

Start off the Sunday school class reading Luke 19:1-10.  Then show the children how to do this craft by giving them step-by-step instructions.  Finally let them get going!

All you need are a few things including paper, makers, and paint.  Also the Zacchaeus cut out which has been provided by Danielles Place.

Check out the link below for the Zacchaeus cut-out.

The best part about this craft is that it is really fun and it requires very little preparation.

If you like what you read about ways to teach children the Bible, check out the children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website. It is great for parents and kids because it provides the Big Story of God’s miraculous plan for His children in all 66 books in the Bible. CHECK OUT A FREE SAMPLE OF CHAPTER ONE BELOW.
