Today let’s focus on teaching kids a Bible miracle from the book of Acts. Paul heals all who are brought to him and casts out demons (Acts 19:8-12)
Paul was powerfully preaching about the kingdom of God in the synagogue at Corinth, but when he encountered opposition, he took the believers and left and taught them at the school of Tyrannus. His teaching was accompanied with powerful miracles.
Ask the children?
Who empowered Paul to perform miracles?
“God gave Paul the power to perform unusual miracles..” (Acts 19:11)
What kind of unusual miracles did Paul perform?
“When handkerchiefs or aprons that had merely touched his skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and evil spirits were expelled.” (Acts 19:12)
God wants His kingdom to go out everywhere. When His kingdom goes out then it destroys the works of the devil. One of the evidences of this is healing those who have a disease and those who are demon possessed. These cannot stand in the face of Christ.
God can use any means to heal. In this case it was pieces of cloth that had touched Paul. These bible miracles were evidence that God was with Paul and that his message was true.
God is still working miracles today to go along with the message of the kingdom. He wants to use us to meet the needs of those around us and to proclaim the good news of the kingdom.
Ask your kids what needs they see around them and how they could meet those needs. It may take a miracle, but don’t let that get in your way. Take these needs to God and ask for His miraculous touch to meet those needs.
