Today let’s focus on teaching kids a Bible miracle from the book of Acts. Paul miraculously heals all who are brought to him. (Acts 28:9)
Paul is accused by the Jewish leaders of breaking their laws. In a Roman court Paul has appealed his case to Caesar and as a result is being taken under armed guard by ship to Rome. When they are shipwrecked on the island of Malta, Publius, the chief official of the island, cared for them for 3 days and Paul healed his father of sickness.
Ask the children?
Once the people realized Paul could heal, who else came to Paul?
“Then all the other sick people on the island came and were healed.” (Acts 28:9 )
How did the people respond then?
“As a result we were showered with honors, and when the time came to sail, people supplied us with everything we would need for the trip.” (Acts 28:10)
When God promises to meet all of our needs, He doesn’t say how He is going to do it. In this case He does it by people in response to a miracle of healing that Paul does for them.
At the close of 2012, I just went through my diary and wrote down every miraculous thing God has done in my life. There are 2 and 1/2 pages of things. WOW! God has met my every need and the needs of those around me.
Ask your children to review what needs God has met in their lives recently? Stop and praise God and then have them lay their current needs before God by faith.
