Kid’s Craft Game-Lazarus Come Forth!

Lazarus Race

A great game to do with your kids this week at Sunday school is a Lazarus race!  Children’s Ministry has come up with this fun and interactive activity to get kids moving and help them understand the concept of Lazarus raising from the dead.

So here is how you play:

Divide your class into a few teams.

Have each team designate one person to be Lazarus.

Give each team 2 toilet paper roles.

Then time the teams to see who can wrap up Lazarus  the fastest.

Have the children dressed as Lazarus. Wait until until everyone is dressed, then have every one yell “Lazarus Come Forth!” and the children can break free!

Check out Children’s Ministry for some other great games and details about this one!

Begin this activity with reading  John 11:38-44 and then follow it with the game so that the children understand the Bible story for the activity.

If you like what you read about Bible Miracles, check out our children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website.  It is great for parents and kids because it provides the Big Story of God’s miraculous plan for His children in all 66 books in the Bible including colorful illustrations, rhymes and a surprise on every page.
