1 Thessalonians 4:11 provides a great verse for purpose in life.
“Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your hands, just as we told you so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.”
This verse provides the basis for what a God honoring life could look like. It really lays out the basics and puts it in simple terms.
A great way to approach this verse is to have your kids break it down. Read each line and then ask them what it could possibly mean.
“Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life”
-To just do normal life. Not be showy or overly dramatic.
“To mind your own business”
Just keep going threw the list until you have done them all. Have your kid write down each of their ideas and then post it some where special in their room. You could also make it until a painting!
