Memory Verse- Matthew 4:19

A great way to help kids remember Bible verses is to have them make a craft that goes along with it.  This allows them to interact with the verse and use the sense of touch to remember it.

Fishers of men

S.C.R.A.P. has come up with a really clever idea for the verse Matthew 4:19.

“Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men”.

Here is what you will need-

1. Popsicle sticks

2. Little men cut out of felt

3. Glue

4. String

5. Netting

By looking at the picture you can get a pretty good idea of how it all goes together.  Start with each kid writing the verse out on the popsicle sticks.  Next have them glue one side of the netting to a popsicle stick.  Then put the little men in the netting and then glue the other popsicle stick to the netting on the other side. The men should be trapped inside.  Finally put the string on the top popsicle stick so that they can hang it in a visible place.

Thanks S.C.R.A.P for this great idea!
