One Year Study Thru The Bible – April 29, 2 Chronicles 32, God Is Greater Than Men

Bible

This one year study thru the Bible for kids is designed to hit the highlights and provide practical application. I encourage you to read the whole section of scripture (2 Chronicles 32) while we focus in on just a few verses.

Background: The second book of Chronicles was written to encourage God’s people who had been exiled to Babylon and were wondering if God was still for them. This section tells of how King Hezekiah chose to trust God when the odds were against him.

Ask the children…

Why could King Hezekiah encourage his people to be strong and courageous?

““Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater on our side! .” (2 Chronicles 32:7)

Who did King Hezekiah depend on?

“He may have a great army, but they are merely men. We have the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles for us!” (2 Chronicles 32:8 )

Ask your children who they think is the most powerful person in the world?  Ask them if they think God is more powerful?  Who do they put they put their trust in when times get difficult, God or men?

Feel free to share your own stories below in the comments section.
