Salvation Army Of Salinas “Kids Cafe.”

Did you know that Salvation Army has many wonderful programs to get children excited about the Bible. Take for example our local chapter.  They have a “Kids Cafe” that provides a safe after-school program. Their goal as they state in their mission is based on Proverbs 22:6.”Train up a child in the way that they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it.”

“To provide opportunities for the youth of Salinas to participate in a recreational, educational, cultural, and community enrichment program: to build confidence and self-esteem: to be encouraged to seek positive influences in their lives and to build relationships with peers in a safe and structured environment.”

I know that they are going to use our book Hooked On The Book to help kids in this program to learn the big idea of each book in the Bible.

“The Salvation Army, as an international movement, is an evangelical arm of the universal Christian church. It’s message is based on the Bible. It’s ministry is motivated by the love of God. It’s mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Chirst and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.”

For more information call 831-443-9655 Ext. 2912. Thank you, Salvation Army for reaching out to serve others in the name of Jesus.
