Students Feed The Needy

Kids Against Hunger

At Flint Hills Christian Church School last month the students (grades 4th through 12th) were busy preparing food.  As part of the Kids Against Hunger program the students prepared more than 30,000 meals to send to Haiti.   Each bag of food contained rice, soy mix, and six dehydrated vegetables.  Their effort was part of the larger effort of University Christian Church, which prepared 271,000 meals.

This is an awesome story to share with your kids! It is great for kids to hear about kids their own age working to help others.  God desires for all his followers to take care of the needy and the homeless and this is such a perfect example of that.  You could also see if at church or school you could do something similar with your kids.
