Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important because it helps them to see how nothing is impossible for God. If God can do miracles in the Bible, He can do them in our children’s lives today. Here is an easy way to do that interactively.
Today let’s focus on a Bible miracle from the book of 2 Kings: Elijah purifies the waters (2 Kings 2:19-22)
After watching Elisha part the waters of the Jordan, they realized the same Spirit that had been upon Elijah, was now upon
Elisha. They came to Elisha with a problem.
Ask the children…
What problem did the people of Jericho have?
“One day the leaders of the town of Jericho visited Elisha. ‘We have a problem, my lord,’ they told him. ‘This town is located in pleasant surroundings, as you can see. But the water is bad, and the land is unproductive.’” (2 Kings 2:19)
What did Elisha do?
“Elisha said, ‘Bring me a new bowl with salt in it.’ So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the spring that supplied the town with water and threw the salt into it. And he said, ‘This is what the LORD says: I have purified this water. It will no longer cause death or infertility.’” (2 Kings 2:20, 21)
What did God do?
“And the water has remained pure ever since, just as Elisha said.” (2 Kings 2:22)
Elisha trusted God to do a miracle and purify the waters. What miracle are you trusting God for today?
Now you can see how Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world. Glory to Him!!!
