Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important because it helps them to see how nothing is impossible for God. If God can do miracles in the Bible, He can do them in our children’s lives today. Here is an easy way to do that interactively.
Today let’s focus on a Bible miracle from the book of Numbers, The Miracle of Fire at Taberah (Numbers 11:1-3)
After spending a long period of time at Mount Sinai receiving the Law and building the Tabernacle (Tent of Meeting where the priests met with the Lord). They left on a journey of 3 days with the Lord leading them by cloud during the day and a fire at night.
Ask the children…
What did the people do that angered the Lord?
“Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the LORD heard everything they said. Then the LORD’s anger blazed against them,” (Numbers 11:1)
With all God had done for them, providing them food and guiding and protecting them with the cloud and fire, the people still complained against God. They were so ungrateful.
What did God do to discipline His people?
“and he sent a fire to rage among them, and he destroyed some of the people in the outskirts of the camp.” (Numbers 11:1)
What did the people do and how did God respond?
“Then the people screamed to Moses for help, and when he prayed to the LORD, the fire stopped.” (Number 11:2)
It is so easy to focus on the problems of the day and not on all of God’s blessings and His faithfulness. Let’s keep our eyes on God’s faithfulness and His daily love for us and bless Him.
Now you can see how Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world. Glory to Him!!!
