Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important because it helps them to see how nothing is impossible for God. If God can do miracles in the Bible, He can do them in our children’s lives today. Here is an easy way to do that interactively.
Today let’s focus on a Bible miracle from the book of 1 Kings: God gives Solomon Wisdom and Wealth (1 Kings 3:5-14)
Solomon was King David’s son and became the next King after David. One night God spoke to Solomon in a dream.
Ask the children…
What question did God ask Solomon?
“That night the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said, ‘What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!’” (1 Kings 3:5)
What did Solomon ask for?
“’Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?’” (1 Kings 3:9)
What did God give to Solomon because He was pleased with Solomon’s choice?
“’I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have! And I will also give you what you did not ask for—riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life!’” (1 Kings 3:12, 13)
God loves to bless His people and answer their prayers when they ask humbly and unselfishly.
Now you can see how Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world. Glory to Him!!!
