Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important because it helps them to see how nothing is impossible for God. If God can do miracles in the Bible, He can do them in our children’s lives today. Here is an easy way to do that interactively.
Today let’s focus on a Bible miracle from the book of Joshua: God was With Othniel (Judges 3:9-11)
When God’s People did evil in His sight, He gave them over to their enemy Cushan-Rishathaim King of Mesopotamia for discipline.
Ask the children…
What did the people do and what did God do in response?
“But when the people of Israel cried out to the LORD for help, the LORD raised up a rescuer to save them. His name was Othniel, the son of Caleb’s younger brother, Kenaz.” (Judges 3:9)
What miracle did God for Othniel and through Othniel?
“The Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he became Israel’s judge. He went to war against King Cushan-rishathaim of Aram, and the LORD gave Othniel victory over him.” (Judges 3:10)
What did God’s People enjoy as a result?
“So there was peace in the land for forty years. Then Othniel son of Kenaz died.” (Judges 3:11)
Now you can see how Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world. Glory to Him!!!
