Teaching Children About Bible Miracles – Jesus Knew All About Nathaniel Even Before He Had Met Him

Jesus images

Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important because it helps them to see how nothing is impossible for God.  If God can do miracles in the Bible, He can do them in our children’s lives today.  Here is an easy way to do that interactively.

Today let’s focus on a Bible miracle from the book of John:   Jesus knew all about Nathaniel even before He had met Him. (John 1:47-51)

When Jesus was selecting His disciples, he found Philip and asked Philip to follow Him. Philip readily agreed and went to find his brother Nathaniel to tell him about Jesus.  When he found Nathaniel, Nathaniel couldn’t believe that anyone great could come out of the region of Nazareth.  Let’s see what happened when Nathaniel met Jesus.

Ask the children…

What did Jesus say when He saw Nathaniel coming towards Him?

“’Now here is a genuine son of Israel – a man of complete integrity.’” (John 1:47)

What was Nathaniel’s surprised response?

“’How do you know about me?’” (John 1:48)

What was Jesus’ amazing statement?

“’I could see you under the fig tree before Philip found you.’” (John 1:48)

Although Jesus released His powers as God when He came to this earth, He was still able to miraculously know things about people and situations.  He used this miraculous power to carry out His purposes here on earth.

God can provide you with miraculous insights when you need them to further His kingdom.  Just go ahead and ask Him.

Now you can see how Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world.  Glory to Him!!!
