Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important because it helps them to see how nothing is impossible for God. If God can do miracles in the Bible, He can do them in our children’s lives today. Here is an easy way to do that interactively.
Today let’s focus on a Bible miracle from the book of 2 Kings: King Hezekiah is healed. (2 Kings:1-11)
King Hezekiah became deathly ill and prayed to the Lord that he would be healed because of his faithfulness.
Ask the children…
What did God say to King Hezekiah through the prophet Isaiah?
“’I will heal you, and three days from now you will get out of bed and go to the Temple of the LORD. I will add fifteen years to your life, and I will rescue you and this city from the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my own honor and for the sake of my servant David.’” (2 Kings 20:5)
When King Hezekiah doubted that the miracle would actually happen, what sign did God give to Him to prove He would do all that He had promised?
“So Isaiah the prophet asked the LORD to do this, and he caused the shadow to move ten steps backward on the sundial of Ahaz!” (2 Kings 20:11)
So God actually made the sun move backward in the sky so that the shadow would move backward just to show King Hezekiah that He would do what he said. What a great God we have. What He will do because He loves each one of us is amazing.
Now you can see how Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world. Glory to Him!!!
