Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important because it helps them to see how nothing is impossible for God. If God can do miracles in the Bible, He can do them in our children’s lives today. Here is an easy way to do that interactively.
Today let’s focus on a Bible miracle from the book of 2 Kings: 100 men fed with 20 loaves (2 Kings 4:42-44)
Some men brought an offering to the man of God, Elisha, of 20 loaves even though there was a famine in the land. Elisha instructed his servant Gehazi to give the bread out for everyone to eat.
Ask the children…
What was Gehazi’s response?
“’What?’ his servant exclaimed. ‘Feed a hundred people with only this?’” (2 Kings 4:43)
What prophesy did Elisha give to his servant?
“But Elisha repeated, ‘Give it to the people so they can eat, for this is what the LORD says: Everyone will eat, and there will even be some left over!’.” (2 Kings 4:43)
Did God fulfill this prophecy?
“And when they gave it to the people, there was plenty for all and some left over, just as the LORD had promised.” (2 Kings 4:44)
What New Testament miracle does this remind you of? You’re right! When Jesus fed the 5,000 with only a few loaves and fish and there was food left over. The same God who did miracles in the Old Testament and New Testament is still doing them today.
Now you can see how Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world. Glory to Him!!!
