Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important because it helps them to see how nothing is impossible for God. If God can do miracles in the Bible, He can do them in our children’s lives today. Here is an easy way to do that interactively.
Today let’s focus on a Bible miracle from the book of Judges: Samson And The Ropes (Judges 15:10-14)
God raised up Samson as a Judge to lead the Israelites to defeat their enemy the Philistines. When Samson had tormented the Philistines too many times, the Philistines threatened to wipe out the Israelites (God’s People). The Israelites came to Samson and told him they were going to capture him and turn him over to the Philistines so the Philistines wouldn’t destroy them.
Ask the children…
How did the Israelites bind Samson so he couldn’t get away?
“’We will only tie you up and hand you over to the Philistines,’ they replied. ‘We won’t kill you.’ So they tied him up with two new ropes and brought him up from the rock.” (Judges 15:13)
What miracle did God do so Samson wouldn’t be captured?
“As Samson arrived at Lehi, the Philistines came shouting in triumph. But the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon Samson, and he snapped the ropes on his arms as if they were burnt strands of flax, and they fell from his wrists.” (Judges 15:14)
Nothing is too great for the Spirit of God to do.
Now you can see how Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world. Glory to Him!!!
