Teaching Children About Bible Miracles – The Creation Miracle

bible miracles

Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important as it helps them to see how God can get anything done. How powerful He is. Here is an easy way to do that.

Let’s focus on one of the great Bible miracles found in the book of Genesis.  The story of the first recorded miracle in the Bible was the Creation Miracle.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”  (Genesis 1:1)

The first thing to ask children is that if there is a dinner on the table, there must have been a ____________ (Cook).  If there is a house, there must have been a ___________ (Builder).  If there is a creation, there must be a ______________.  (Creator)  God is that creator.

Ask the children how God did the miracle?

Read Gensis 1:3a, 6a, 9a.  “Then God said…”

He spoke the world into existence.

Ask them why God did this miracle?

“Then God blessed them and said, ‘Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground’.”  (Genesis 1:28)

God had a plan for mankind to rule over this world and to take care of it under His blessing and authority. Help your kids see how the Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world. Glory to Him!!
