Teaching Children About Bible Miracles – The Great Flood

bible miracles

Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important as it helps them to see how God can get anything done. How powerful He is. Here is an easy way to do that.

Let’s focus on one of the great Bible miracles found in the book of Genesis.  The story of the Great Flood.

Ask the children why God caused the flood?

“The LORD observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil..  So the LORD was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart.” (Genesis 6:5, 6)

How did God choose to save Noah and his family from the flood that was coming?

The God said to Noah, “Build a large boat from cypress wood and waterproof it with tar, inside and out. Then construct decks and stalls throughout its interior.”  (Genesis 6:14)

How did God bring about the miraculous flood?

“When Noah was 600 years old, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the underground waters erupted from the earth, and the rain fell in mighty torrents from the sky. The rain continued to fall for forty days and forty nights.”  (Genesis 7:11, 12)

After the great flood was over, what did God promise Noah about the future?

“And the LORD … said to himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of the human race, even though everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood. I will never again destroy all living things.” (Genesis 8:21)

Help your kids see how the Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world. Glory to Him!!
