Teaching children about the Bible miracles is important because it helps them to see how nothing is impossible for God. If God can do miracles in the Bible, He can do them in our children’s lives today. Here is an easy way to do that interactively.
Today let’s focus on a Bible miracle from the book of Exodus: The Miracle of the Sweetening of the Waters of Marah (Exodus 15:22-27)
After they passed through the Red Sea, God’s people traveled 3 more days into the wilderness but found no water. Let’s see what happened.
Ask the children…
What was the matter with the water at Marah? Why was the place called Marah?
“When they came to the oasis of Marah, the water was too bitter to drink. So they called the place Marah (which means “bitter”).” (Exodus 15:23)
How did the people respond?
“Then the people complained and turned against Moses. ‘What are we going to drink?’ they demanded.” (Exodus 15:24)
What did God instruct Moses to do to perform this miracle?
“So Moses cried out to the LORD for help, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink.” (Exodus 15:25)
God provided miraculously for His people and He will do the same for us.
Now you can see how Bible miracles are God’s way of blessing the world. Glory to Him!!!
